Grounds Maintenance and Weed Control

Terracing

Some grounds are sloped and do not get used to there full potential, one solution to this problem is to cut into the slope at different heights and create several different level terraces.

The areas which have been dug away now need to be supported or retained and this can be achieved by the building of walls for heights of over 2-3ft; which themselves can add to the aesthetics of the space if using a local or ornamental stone to face the supporting block wall. For smaller heights timber such as railway sleepers can be used to retain these new terraces.
